Secured vs. Unsecured Loans

If you’re looking for a higher loan limit, a secured loan may be for you. Because this loan is backed by your share certificate account or by other means, Doches Credit Union can offer higher limits at potentially more favorable rates. Unsecured loans are not backed by collateral, so while they may be easier to obtain, they will not offer as high of a credit limit. Also, the rate may not be as favorable as a secured loan.
