November 7, 1951 – November 7, 2026

Something special is happening at Doches Credit Union! On November 7th, DCU will celebrate 75 years of serving our members and East Texas communities. From our humble beginnings in 1951 to the credit union we are today, one thing has never changed: our commitment to people helping people. We’re kicking off a month of birthday surprises, special offers, giveaways, and appreciation for the members who made these 75 years possible! Follow along as we celebrate our past, our people, and our future. 75 Years of People Helping People. Rooted in East Texas. Growing Together.

It all started in 1951!

Before online banking, mobile deposits, and debit cards, there was a group of East Texans who believed in the power of people helping people. On November 7, 1951, Doches Credit Union was chartered to serve employees of Southwestern Bell and the Lufkin Conroe Telephone Exchange.

What began with a connection to the telephone industry has grown into 75 years of serving generations of East Texas families. Times have changed, but our purpose hasn’t. Rooted in East Texas since 1951.
